Cookie Policy

Effective Date: May 26, 2025

Last Updated: June 17, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how PickSpot Network Limited (“PickSpot”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the PickSpot and PickSend websites and applications. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we
handle personal data more generally, including under the Data Protection Act, 2019 of Kenya.

By using our websites, you agree to our use of cookies as described in this Policy and, where required, as set through our cookie consent controls.

2. What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help a site function, remember your preferences, and understand how it is used. We also use similar technologies — such as local storage, software development kits (SDKs) in our mobile applications, and pixels — which we refer to collectively as “cookies” in this Policy.

3. Why we use cookies?

We use cookies to keep you signed in, secure your session, remember your preferences, measure and improve performance, and help detect and prevent fraud and abuse.

4. Types of cookies we use.

  • Functional cookies remember your choices and preferences to personalise your experience.
  • Performance and analytics cookies help us understand how our services are used, by collecting information such as pages viewed and features used, generally inaggregated form, so that we can improve them.
  • Security and fraud-prevention cookies — help us detect suspicious activity and protect customers, merchants, and the platform.
  • Strictly necessary cookies — required for the website and app to function, including authentication, session management, security, and load balancing. These cannot be switched off in our systems.

Where we use cookies that are not strictly necessary, we do so on the basis of your
consent, which you may withdraw at any time (see section 7).

5. First-party and third-party cookies
First-party cookies are set by PickSpot. Third-party cookies are set by providers that help us operate our website and understand how it is used. Our website is built and hosted on Webflow, which does not add cookies to our site by itself; the cookies we use come from the tools we have chosen to use, principally:

  • Google Analytics (provided by Google) — to measure and analyse how our website is used. Google processes this information in accordance with its own privacy terms.
  • Our cookie consent tool — to present our cookie banner and record your cookie preferences.

These providers process information in accordance with their own terms and our
agreements with them.

6. Cookies we use

The cookies below are those currently used on our website. Webflow, our hosting platform, does not set cookies on our site by default, so our cookies come from the tools described in section 5.

We keep this list under review and update it as our website changes.

  • Google Analytics - Distinguishes website visitors for usage analytics.
  • Our cookie consent tool - Stores your cookie choices

Google Analytics cookies are set only after you accept analytics cookies through our cookie banner; they are not placed before you give consent. Google may set additional analytics cookies depending on configuration, and our consent tool maintains the
current, authoritative list.

7. Your choices and managing cookies

  • Google Analytics opt-out: you can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using Google’s opt-out browser add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Browser settings: most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of our services from working
  • Mobile: you can manage app-related identifiers through your device settings.
  • Cookie banner: you can accept or decline non-essential cookies — including Google Analytics — through the cookie banner shown when you first visit our website, and you can change your choice at any time through our cookie settings.

8. Consent under the Data Protection Act, 2019
Strictly necessary cookies are used without consent because they are essential to providing the service you request. Other cookies are used only with your consent, which you may give or withdraw at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

9. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, our services, or legal requirements. Updated versions take effect upon publication.
